I've wanted to write something clever and/or witty for months now to make up for my embarrassingly long absence from the blog but I am officially giving up. It was too much pressure. Seriously. Every time I sat down to write, I'd be able to focus for 10 minutes before falling asleep or chasing Gemma down and grabbing trash out of her mouth.
(Don't be alarmed: Gemma is the newest addition to the Fox den. She's a 7-month-old Dogo Argentino/American Bulldog mix, not my neighbor or some random kid.)
There have been a lot more distractions that have kept me from writing, distractions that looked like
-A romp in a rain forest
-Weddings
-Beach days
-Getting rear-ended on my way to work
-Adopting Gemma from a rescue
-Taking Gemma to the vet/pet hospital/emergency clinic for eating things she shouldn't be eating, such as chocolate, gallon-sized freezer bags, Mike's glasses and a pair of my underwear
-Becoming a full-time telecommuter
Anyway, I'm back now. Sorry for being gone so long. What have you been up to?
Can't wait to catch up. For real.

Too cute. Any chance you're watching Ringer with Sarah Michelle Gellar? The character that plays her best friend is named Gemma. Love it.

I haven't had a chance to watch it yet! There are way too many great shows on right now! I love the name "Gemma". The rescue gave her that name because they said she was a gem. We liked it enough to keep it!

Thanks for welcoming me back! I figured it was time to get over myself and start writing again. Spammers kept leaving me comments about how they overcame various addictions by working with different organizations so I thought I should come back, if only to give them more material to spam. :)
Ha, I wrote a comment on Heidi's blog post and saw on her blog roll that you recently posted. Yay! But boo for my limited internet access and the fact that ATT took away my unlimited data plan on iphone. So. As for distractions? I think I'm not supposed to have any. *sigh* Gemma and Crosby are good distractions. Very good! Enjoy this beautiful weekend with your awesome distractions.
